I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
